The point of this chapter was to prepare them for the anime convention, right? I don't mean to be offensive or anything, I personally think that there was a bit too much description than necessary. But good story!

Still vague. Very good, in my opinion.
I was just wondering what was accomplished in this chapter, because it seemed nothing important, but there are little things that I suspect are important later.
Also, you managed to write in first person very well, better than many authors, I'd say. Great story, very promising, and it hooks the readers in the first few chapters!
