The second part of this chapter had me really crying. Like serious tears..I think it was the realisation that Darren and the rest really are dead.

how could a person possibly make a small gesture as the touch of hands so romantic? Because you DID! That small scene gave ME flipping goosebumps. Dead girlfriend or no, I love Luc! (i sound so horrible)

Oh my God, that's so SAD! I hate the guy who tripped him! I would have thoughtthat there would be hatred but sympathy with some people too. Idiots!

Hi there,

To be honest, I wasn't going to read this story when you mentioned Kleenex and tears and stuff cause I was in a jolly mood and felt like reading something light-hearted, but for some reason my eye went to the first line and I was hooked.

And I know, KNOW, that I will definitely be needing those tissues soon!

Just one questions though, don't you think that 3 months is too short to get over someone you loved and fall in love again? I mean, I know he's not in love yet, but he probably will be by the end of this...so..yeah-but you're the author!

I'm off to read the rest now!

WOW! I just got finished reading this, and I enjoyed it so much. The storyline gripped me from the start until the end. Your writing skills are amazing!

Thankyou for posting this, I cried so much.

I usually don't read tragedies, but this one got me hooked on the first chapter.

My boyfriend had an accident a few years back, before I met him, when he was driving and lost control of the car. There was ice on the road and he slammed the brakes to avoid hitting an oncoming car, and crashed right into the guard rail. Luckily it didn't give but prevented his car from going down the slope and into the water. Whenever we drive to visit his parents, though, we can still see the dent. That's partly why your descriptions of the accident made me feel so emotional. I also choked up on the dream scenes, whenever I thought about what Sammy, Lillian and Darren never got to do and experience, and I felt so bad for Lucas.

I think the story offers a great view on how the different persons are coping with grief - both those involved, those who stand on the outside, and those who're trying to help. It's really impressive how you managed to give so many characters their own unique voice. I loved Lucas' mom the first chapters, and then when it came to the part when she revealed her secret (even though you'd foreshadowed it) I didn't know what to think. "Wha- but WHY?"

Ultimately, the story offers hope. I'm happy for the way you wrapped this up - it felt as if things have gone full circle.

Thank you for sharing this. I'll be sure to check out your other stories as well.

This is the best story I have read on Fiction Press (and I've read a lot of them!)

There were a few things here and there that could be improved (some of the details and emotional parts in the beginning come to mind, and I felt like sometimes the dreams were a little overdone - mostly just things that you could fix up if you were to edit), but overall I think you have an excellent story. I've been having trouble finding stories that are really well done on fictionpress lately, but I really think this story was great, and I found that as the story progressed, it became much more intense emotionally, and I just wanted to keep reading. The climax of the story with the suicide attempt and Sawyer's secret and everything was excellent, I was on the edge of my seat.

Anyway definitely don't think I'm being mean in my review, because I really loved the story, and I'll definitely read some of your other works next!

I can't even imagine how difficult it must have been to write Lucas's story. I meant to pace myself through the whole thing, but his angst was too torturous, and it made me just tear through the whole story...just to see if it got better. It did. It got so much better.

OMG. . . OMG! Wow, I have wanted to write a review these past 25 chapters, but every chapter just left me speechless. I still don't quite know what to say. You have an amazing way of creating character that people care about. This was an amazingly heartbreaking but heartfelt story.

There were times I wanted to cheer, there were times I wanted to cry, there were times I wanted to yell at Luc and there were times I just wanted to comfort him. Sawyer, she was and incredibly strong person. To have been through so much, and then to give so much of herself to Luc. It was almost like she willed him to he healed.

This story was so very different from Thoughtless (although a little bit of a love triangle did exist I guess) that it just should how creative and talented you are and I'm humbled by you awesomeness.

Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

Oh wow, this story was beautiful. I loved it. It may have been a bit slow for me, but it worked for this story. I wasn't exactly bawling throughout the whole thing, but my eyes weren't always dry as well. Lucas's journey was very realistic and relatable. Your writing is very accomplished, one of the best grammatically here and varied. Good job. Thanks for writing it

This is probably the best piece of fiction I've read in a very, very long time that was posted on fictionpress or mibba or wherever. Thank you for it.

I've posted a review of your story on my blog.

I did this because it was available in e-Book format. Plus because this is such an awesome story i wanted to give it a bit more publicity. :)
