This is sort of freevers-y, which is cool. I get where you're going with it.

Now, on a deeper level, this guy . . . I take it you like him? Time is the only thing that will let you know for sure, if you won't speak first. Just be honest with him, and most of all yourself. If it's a yes - great! If it's a no - count it as a loss and move on.

Time never waits, and more than soon enough you will find someone else who is just as brilliant.
