This chapter is much more serious, isnt it?
I understand Emma's frustration. I mean really, she never gets to see her husband anymore, and who knows how long she has left?
BUT the comment she made at the end of the chapter- during the argument- was completely out of line. Teren did NOT deserve that.
In all honesty, it wont surprise me if something happens to him when he follows the new lead, just because of how upset he is about her saying that.
Anyway, marvelous work.
Cant wait for the next chapter =)

thanks for the update. i wish teren would just listen to what emma was saying. i feel so bad for emma and tracey even though what ben and teren are doing is for a good cause.

Great chapter - lots funny bits thrown in among all the hotness and the drama!
First off, the journals are nasty and really highlight how horrible the man was. So glad Emma dispatched him!
Then a nice humour break:
Nice to have a sister to help with fang retention execises!
Lol- her mom visiting and she had to wear a neckbrace and the bedpan! Glad Emma stood her ground.
Then the tension begins!
Good effort on her part, using sex to try and lure him home. And I agree that Ben didn't seem a likely candidate for going into a vampire nest (curious term - nest of vampires, school of fish, murder of crows...who makes up these terms? But I digress...)
Ahh! We find out that great-gran hasn't behaved very grandly at all - naughty lady fooling around with other vamps.
Nice touch of pathos (think that's the term I want-darn highschool English!) when Halina spills her guts a bit.
Alanna and Imogen are much more circumspect in ignoring Emma's er...condition but Halina is a hoot - again, naughty lady!
Fantastic the way you blended the hot sex with the humour of her listening in and giving a running commentary - loved it!
Too bad those vamps weren't more helpful. Crossing my fingers for the next bunch!

All of this makes me wonder if they'll actually find someone who would know about Emma's condition, or if she'll just go through the change and everything blind.
I mean, obviously she's going to be okay, as are the children. But will they know what's going to happen before it happens, or will everything just be a big surprise for everyone?

well, teren has redeemed himself in my eyes in this chapter. purely from a smut-tisfying point of view of course. big sigh the 2 of 'em seem to spontaneously combust when they reunite.
just to clarify: so the adams's problem with emma is that she was turned by a mixed blood instead of a full vampire, which means she isn't a pureblood like halina, even though they were both turned by vampires?
wouldn't halina by more empathetic towards emma as she was also reluctantly turned?
just an aside: have you ever considered writing a one-shot of halina - e.g. what happen(ed) on one of her escapades?

Hahahaha! You were right that was explosive! All the times before when they had to stop or get interrupted just built up all that sexual tension.
I wonder when/if they are ever going to drink from eacother since Alanna and Emma talked about it.

*Fans herself* Whew! Is it me, or is it hot in here? Oh Gosh! I LOVED this. About time they let the passion flow in between them. And the sexy fang thing, loved it! Can I ask you a question though? About what chapter do you predict the babies being born? I just want to know, because no matter how hot they can get, I'm sure Emma would appreciate not having a huge watermelon in between she and her husband (not they'd have much time for sex when they twins are born, but still). And I loved how you showed the other side of Halina; I like her, she's tough but has that rare sensitive side. Well you just made my day ever better! :)

When I was talking about bloodthirsty-ness and all that, I was making my guesses on the vampires that Teren and his family were looking for/meeting with to help with Emma's situation.
Hm, it's hard to know what's coming next. All the recent chapters have been all happy, compared to the beginning of the story. I'm just waiting for a conflict or something. Maybe Teren will come across a coven of vamps, but a female vamp will have a crush on Teren and will try to kill Emma?-he is really good-looking.
