I hope you update this, I think it seems really interesting, and well written (it surprises me how often this doesn't seem to be the case -_-). Seriously though, I like how well-established the characters seem already, despite some of them hardly even being written about (I hope that makes sense. I'm not sure it does).

I've missed your posts. I really hope you finish this because all ready it's a lot better than Waxen Bones and I loved that. You're probably one of the best writers on this site and I was sad when you took a hiatus. And not only have you come back but your writing is even better than when you left.
As to the story, Kyle is pretty well developed already, even though you haven't really gone into detail about him. He's a good solid character. I'm slightly confused about what's going on,but I'm going to have to reread this when I'm not in a hurry.
