I still love how you write these prose-esque slice of life poems. Rather than getting caught up in the emotion, you never fail to capture the essence of haiku even in your poems. The way you focus on the details of the setting and the act of ritual that invokes the memories of lost love ones, thereby keeping them alive in the process is so human. I love this piece. Glad your still writing. I'm sure I've said this before but if you wrote stories I would read them!
