So this is like my third time coming across this story. I feel I should just leave a little note on how much I actually enjoy this story.
Usually if I find something I already read I get bored easily and leave quickly but every single time I read this I find myself exited and eager to read more.
That being said I was wondering if you were still planning on posting the second part. I really am interested in knowing how everything turns out.

The idea for this story is interesting, but I feel like it's missing but a lot of the glue stories need between major plot points. I understand that good authors "play time," meaning that they can extend an instant or breeze over a decade, but I feel like the stitching that holds the major events together and makes the story coherent is missing. One instant he's almost making up with Rivak, the next he's summoned to war, the next he's fallen in that war, then he's faced with death, demcas, and suddenly he's back in school with an inept trainer and a dead not-quite-boyfriend. It's all a bit too rushed to get immersed in.

B. I hate you for ripping my fucking heart out with Rizka's death
C. I really enjoyed your world building, what with the differences between Kelmarin and Ell-something, Ellnavian? Culture.
D. This is supposed to be a review, so my one criticism is that Master Old Guy seems to be kind of a caricature, or a stereotype. Also, tiny Mage kid showing up out of nowhere was weird. Like, you could probably have made him a little different than lil!Serae'al.
E. How the fuck do you pronounce his name?! I've been pronouncing it Suh-Ray-Ull in my head, although I also considered See-Rye-Ail
