You used lots of big words in this, making it very complicated. But it was also smooth and lyrical, which I really liked.
The way that you wrote it and the vocabulary and rhythm and all of those devices, they made the story seem very... professional. Almost ornate, like a classic poem. It reminded me of "Kubla Khan," just in your phrasing. Look it up, it could be an inspiration for more writing like this, because this was really very good.
