I kind of feel bad, but I'm really amused at the situation that Avena's being put in (the constricting mother and the uncle). An uncle who goes against everything that's keeping her 'safe' just as a challenge? It's an awesome thing to read about!
Can't wait to meet 'the guy!' I wonder how you'll go about their romance this time! :)
One thing I have to critique is the spelling usage of definitely vs. defiantly. You used the latter when it was supposed to be the former, and I've seen this done so many times, so you're not the only one! xD

Hey,
Great start of a story. I thought the creation of Avena was really inventive and original.
I also liked the sneaky little cross reference to Cupid's Granddaughter in this. Not to mention you had your protagonist mock it slightly. I thought that was a nice touch and I guess an inside joke to your readers from your first story.
I really look forward to seeing what you come up with especially after the success of Cupid'sGranddaughter.
