Very nice chapter. Even though I knew it was Melia from a while back, you still presented the chapter well and made it pretty powerful. I don't know why, but I like Melia as a villain. Something about it being a violent sister relationship feels fresh; usually it's a male murderer, which can get old. Actually, it might've helped if we were given more than one flashback into Lyra and MElia's childhood, cause I feel like Melia was left a little blank. Otherwise, once again, it was a good chapter. Nice to see Garrett being a good makeshift father.

ONe question though. Why did Melia come back? Was she planning on killing Jude and Garrett or did she just want to see how Lyra was fending without Jared?

In conclusion, I must say, I really enjoyed your story. Great job!

Aw, I'm so sad it's over! And I felt TERRIBLE when at the beginning, Jared got shot and he was proclaiming his love for Lyra, so romantic. :( I was a little shocked it was Melia who shot Jared, yet not at the same time. Since she was just evil from the beginning, it makes sense that she would do something like that. I'm glad Lyra and Garrett are officially together, they seem perfect for each other. :) This is a great ending to this even greater story, it's going straight to my favorites. :)

Hmm, the ending to this story seems to be unfolding nicely. I imagine Jared dies sometime when he goes to Gerards? Maybe a little later, I'm not sure. Man, so far, this is the second fictional account of when the guy says he slept with someone else besides the girl while they weren't in a relationship together, the girl goes off and sleeps with another guy and the boy and girl break up. Course, I'm not sure if Lyra and Jared break it off, but it's a weird reaction. I've personally never been in that situation, but it doesn't seem like it's the way to heal the relationship.XD

Also, the last scene with Jude was sweet, but may I make one tiny suggestion? When Jude wraps his fingers around Garrett's finger, I'm pretty sure newborns don't have the mechanical ability to move their arms to grab things. However, if Garrett put his finger on Jude's palm, it's an automatic reaction for babies at his age to close his fingers. YOu could make it symbolic to Garrett reaching out and asking Jude for his approval, and Jude's fingers closing as his acceptance.

Good chapter. It was sad to see Lyra and Jared fighting like that when they were married. :(

I really hope Garrett and Lyra get together! I think they'd be good for each other. :) Can't wait to see how the story ends!

First off, sorry for not reading this right away. I hope I'm making up for it by giving you two reviews. Anyway, I liked this chapter, no actual criticism necessary. The wedding was short but enough to prove the point of how close and in love Jared and Lyra were before the murder and Lyra thinking there was someone trying to harm the baby felt really realistic for her condition. Not so sure about her and Garrett, but I think I could've seen it coming. Maybe it's because I don't feel like I know his character that well, but I'll give it some time; perhaps they'll grow on me.

Now, for chapter 24!

This is such a great story! I was confused at first because i didn't realize the chapters were switching from present to past but it is amazing once you catch on.. Absolutely love it. I was just looking through stories to find something short to pass the time until my fav's to update when i came across this. I'm so happy I did c[= you're marvelous!
