What are you stressing over Pinkamoo? It was really good! I love how it's so relatable because I can see myself in Autumn. My friend would like the same person and I'm not the proactive type of person so I'd keep it to myself and allow her to pursue the relationship with the 'interest'. I how she feels I mean, in a perfect world, she shouldn't have even worried about how Lanie felt because Lanie never really asked her anything, she just spoke to her. In the end Autumn ended up hurting her anyway- the one thing she tried to not do, my heart breaks for her, really. It's a battle that rarely won.
So truthfully Pinkamoo, there is definitely nothing you need to worry about with this baby, it is beautiful.

No, Hale's not right. Everything is not going to be okay. At least not for a while.
The thrill of solving the who-dun-it was well executed. I liked the plot. And even if I wasn't particularly fond of her, the heroine's constant guilt made her realistic and seeing the story from the perspective of 'the other girl' (just barely, apparently) was an interesting approach.
Though the source of conflict was due to lack of communication, I didn't find Hale's excuse for disregarding Lanie's feelings believable. At least knowing the Lanie was his crush's best friend should put red flags up in his head to not go on a date with her. Did he know that Lanie and Autumn were best friends? Since the two girl shared classes together and talked so much, I thought he knew. So in that aspect, it was confusing.
Otherwise, thanks for sharing this oneshot!
