Aaw this story is so touching. It's heart breaking but heart warming at the same time. It made my eyes water especially the part where he told her the story of when he finally met his true love.

I very much enjoyed that piece. It was well written, with just the right amount of description to paint a picture in my head without losing interest. Jack's character was wonderful, and how he and the girl, the storyteller of Jack's story, became friends was lovely.
When Jack revealed that people usually got uncomfortable when he talked about his past it seemed that he had only ever wanted someone who'd listen, who'd accept him and his past for what they were without squirming. It was wonderful that the main character, a child, could give him that. Her final words on Jack were the perfect way to end the piece.
