Ah, my fellow uber-short WCC story writer! :)
I liked the little poem at the beginning about drawing the cat. The whole story is very sweet and poignant at the end. I felt like there could have been just a LITTLE more explanation of what was going on. I mean, it's great that you left so much to the reader's interpretation, but it seemed like I was still missing one or two details to be able to get the right picture. Still, it's a great start.

A bittersweet image. Nice job with it. And don't sweat about it not being longer. You did one better than me this month. I didn't even submit a piece. XD

I honestly think that this was beautifully written. I loved the way you depict emotions here without overdoing it. I also find the haiku at the start very clever.
