I just finished reading the entire story and I have tears in my eyes after this chapter. I usually avoid stories like this, but you caught me with the summary. I really enjoyed this. There were a few minor typos I noticed and you referred to Adrian's mother as Helen and Ellen (in Chapter 20 I think). Other than that you have me hooked. It's not your typical romance story, but you managed to make it seem real and not overly cliched. The inclusion of Adrian suffering from PTSD made this story. I can't wait to read more.

You know... I hated Joe before but now, I really hate him more than anyone could possibly hate a person. What really pisses me off is had their mother lived, his ass would've stayed wherever he was, outside of Gavin's life, but as soon as she died he wants to play father. I hope Gavin gives him hell. I swear I'd be the worst kid on the planet if I were in his shoes. Damn SOB!
