I enjoyed reading this, love the idea that there is something called "dogwood" lol
Also really feeling the imagery I was getting of the prideful blackberries puffing out their fruitiness!

Hi Kristina,
Sorry I'm not that much of a reader of stories on this site, glad to find some of your old poems here to read though!
I think describing the cat as "regal" helps to give it soul in the poem, it allows me to imagine it being a cat (hope that makes sense)
