Poor Olivia.
But I guess that's what you get when manipulate things like she did.
To be honest I did not at all think that she would go to such lengths to snag the duke, bit it really does fit with her persistent nature. It definitely broke what I was predicting.
I am very looking forward to the next chapter.
Now Olivia has fulfilled her life's goal and is married what will she do?

I'm so conflicted on this chapter. I agree with Royce one hundred percent but I feel so awful for Olivia too. I do hope things turn around. Maybe Olivia can become friends with Royce's sister and unknowingly get his heart some way. I don't know how but that's why you're the author and I'm not. Sigh...I just want Royce to like her back. They both deserve to be happy and the only way that can happen is if they love each other. How many more chapters will this story have? I think I might rip my hair out soon enough. Well I'm already waiting for next Friday! This story is so amazing!

Actually I'm glad about this little twist here.
I'm so happy you didn't go for a cliche there.
But Olivia is getting on my nerves.
I'm probably mostly like her but..
Oh well, this is exciting =)

All I can say is - what a bitch! I was actually staring to like her before a couple of chapters ago and now I really do feel bad for the duke. Thank you for writin such an interesting story where the main characters aren't sooooo cliched and 'perfect'. Can wait to see what happens next xxxx

I thank you for the PM you sent me, regarding the swift change of pace for the story. One of the things I like about you, as a writer, is the connection you make with your readership.
That being said, I'd love to be the one to say I adore Olivia. She's so different, so unrepentant, such an anti-heroine, especially for the Regency genre. Thank goodness. I was getting a bit sick of all the do-gooders. I love to see a shamelessly selfish female as a story's heroine, because we don't see enough of them. Females are always so selfless, so willing to toe the line, but I'm bored of the same old female lead. ;)
Now, if she grows up and changes into a mature young lady, carry on and have done with it! I just don't want to see her lose her saucy ways, overall. :)

i can't believe she just did THaAT! how on earth agreed the duke to marry her? fine alright i get it. to avoid everything else.. but seriously, she has to grow up soon. she could be everything he wants ina woman but she needs to grow.

I'm going to be looking for that redeaming moment for Olivia and try to hold onto that, because right now I want to throttle her! I do have to say that you are doing a great job with her character. It's not very often I encounter one that is as annoying as she is. And I am mentally covering my face and peaking through my fingers thinking about how rocky that marriage is going to start.

Okay, I was all for Olivia until this chapter. Nothing against you as a writer. In fact, I think you're a wonderful writer but Olivia is stupid for doing that.
I feel bad for poor Royce. I seriously hope for both Royce and Olivia's sake that Olivia comes to her senses and calls of the wedding and tells the truth. I mean, she won't marry anyone than the duke so her reputation doesn't really matter to her.
Poor Royce. I feel so so so bad for him. He shouldn't be forced into this and Olivia really is selfish. I hope she wises up and maybe the duke will admire her for it or something. After all, he seemed to have enjoyed cuddling with her at night. How can he keep denying his attraction?
Or maybe they will get married and he will fall in love with her later. I don't know but I feel bad for him either way! Ugh, you're a fabulous writer to make me feel this frustrated with a story.

Sigh, I love this chapter it's so dramatic! I kind of knew she would do this, or suddose him so he would have no chose. I can't wait for the next chapter. There's this show I'm watch and it's about Cental America getting it's independance and the main characters love intrest's fiancee reminds me alot of Oliva. Not only because she's blond, and the most beautiful girl in the city but she's really selfish. And in the last cople of episodes she pretends that the lost her verginity and almost made the guy be killed. Well, anyways. Same, same, I just that that was a cool conidance. If my brother ever told me what Henry told her, I would feel worst then crap.
