I cried. Tears poured down my face, noticeable to everyone in the room. Poor Desmond. He shouldn't listen to his doctor. I know I wouldn't if that were me. If all he has left is one year to live, then darn he's gonna live it!

Good first chapter, sad but that's to be expected as it's about cancer haha
Not gunna say it made me cry because the only time I've cried about something not directly related to me is when Heath Ledger died, coz he was an amazing actor haha, I dont even cry in sad films like the notebook or seven pounds
But more to the point, good start, I felt like it could do with longer descriptions of feeling, maybe in relation to their surroundings? Because I didn't get much of a feel to their hightened emotions or what the hospital was like which you could tie in both easily, but great job anyway :)
