I first read all of Nicky Charles Lycan books and then she referred me to Black Silk and your short stories. I'm glad you brought them all together with An Unnatural Alliance, because as I read the short stories, I kept wondering how two loving parents could have thrown away their son. You kept me reading to the end, so that I could get the answer. Bringing more panther characters into the Black Silk sequel will help to expand the world you've created for them.

I really like knowing that Malik has been faithful and away for legitimate reasons. My heart tightened with sadness when he said he was leaving again. I really wished he sat down and explained everything with Tamara like he had resolved on doing. I like how he was able to develop a relationship with Stefen on a friendship level as well as having someone that will be able to protect his family when he is not around.
I would like to have more of a transition from meeting to having children and the love that was is no more. It doesn't make much since for someone that was reserved about being a mate/queen and wanting to be courted to having a breaking heart.

Even though Colburn is a were and would have heard how many people were in a closed room, wouldn't he still have knocked on the door for appearance sake and or habit? or is he that bold to feel the need not to? When he asked Tamara to be his mate and queen I was taken aback. I was thinking he was very sure of himself. I like Tamara's response saying that she would like to be courted.
Overall I am intrigued an want to continue to read... especially to find out why Cole's parents act the way they do after he was born.

Absolutely perfect! Having read both Black Silk and the Lycan Law series, this fills in so many lingering questions. I love that the two of you worked together on this last part as well. I look forward to reading more from both of you!
