Excellent job and I love Georgette Heyer. Your Lady Ashbourne is absolutely hilarious. Richard seemed a little flat though, mostly because he reacted so blandly to Isabella remarking on his slip, when he called her his love. Rather than silence, maybe some stammering?
Really loved it though and that last line, I could totally imagine this woman, you did such a good job with her!

This is a very cute piece. I love the premise. Though I would have thought that Richard would have appeared more embarrassed at calling Isabella his love when he thought she didn't return his feelings. Anyway, good job.

Oh, i really loved this, you show the speech and writing style of period stories very well and are very eloquent in your writing.
Richard reminds me of a younger Mr Darcy and i love how you managed to get all of the characters different views.
Very well done and you should certainly write more stories like this.
