Im not sure how to feel.
Your writing style is incredible and your characters are very humane and entertaining. I feel a little shaken by how cruel everything is, but it's still so good that I want to read more.
I see that you hardly post any updates, I still hope that you will again soon.

Realistic: Cole and Perry graduate, never meet again and years later (maybe) Cole reads about Perry's death from an overdose. Stereotypical (if farfetched) - Cole gets educated, hits the gym and joins the vegan/organic crusade, lands a well-paid job and they meet up years later and realise they're the passions of each other's lives. Creative (but not very fair): some deus ex machina thing - incurable disease? zombie apocalypse?
You have me stumped as to how this will end, really, and that's GOOD, cause now I really really want to read the next chapter to find out what happens next.
PS Cole is turning out to be VERY resourceful. Maybe he'd be the Ugly Duckling who lands the prince after all.

Oh dear, I don't know which of them I feel more sorry for. Cole, his dreams crushed by Perry's brutal truthfulness, or Perry, so self-aware yet helplessly swept up in the stereotypes that he despises. There, there... let Fujoshi-Chan cuddle both of you.
Having said that, I think Cole is more likely to survive this showdown, if only because he can always go back into the closet and rewrite the scene for his memories using all the power of his denial. Perry - will either become a murdering psychopath, or a tortured genius, LOL. Or a sad has-been with a 40-year-old ponytail haunting semi-respectable gay bars. Ugh.

I was reading your earlier fics, and I have to say that the quality of your writing is so much improved it's scary. And it was excellent writing to begin with. I haven't finished reading everything so this may be covered, but does Castle hate orange but have orange on his shoes? This is bothering me, although I know there may be a chapter I've not reached yet where he tries new colours haha. I really like what you've done with Cole and Perry. It's weird seeing Castle as a side-character and from Cole's perspective, but I'm glad he still has a big part in this!

Hmm... the tension is palpable. The whole chapter has the feel of an anxiety dream to me, you know, the kind in which you're late for something, but can't seem to find the door and when you finally do, it's locked, etc...
For all that he's made out to be a Neanderthal in looks and brains, Cole is doing good here by taking action instead of just moping his last days of high school away. That makes me harbour hope that he and Perry aren't just a one-night stand. Now my thoughts turn to the ever-popular question of who's the dominant and who the submissive, AKA seme and uke if you do manga lingo.

Oh dear, poor old Cole. Now I'm sorry for him where I started out not liking him for his out and out bullying ways. It's human nature, I guess, to take sides, but it's hard to do that in this piece when you present both sides of the coin so equally.
It's no wonder the mind-games are getting to Cole - they're pretty much getting to me too! I feel like asking along with Cole, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? And doing it so prettily and wittily as well as sardonically, while being maddeningly mysterious to boot.

Wow, things got moving real fast! Not that I'm tension is delicious, and you fade to black at just the right point to make somebody click on the Next button. Anyway, I really liked the little thumbnails of the crushes - short, but vivid, and you don't go into overdoing the details because that can get tiresome.

It's very interesting that Cole, the MC, isn't a looker or physically fit - it makes me want to read more, to find out how these two get together (if they do). As for Perry and the other guys mentioned, I see so many disguises and cover stories that I can probably start an espionage agency, LOL.
