for The Tree

The structure of this is rather daunting. It's not quite a straight bark cut, but it's close. Not close enough, but not far enough to detach it from the actual theme of your poem. Perhaps cutting the lines that poke out a little. The block effect would make it resemble a tree then, and it would be an added bonus.

Apart from that, I really like how you go through the bits and pieces of a tree's life, rather than sequentially. Certainly kept me on my toes; I was expecting summer after spring, but nope. We're up in the branches. :)

Trees definitely need more awesome poems written about them, with all the bullshit they take. Large groups of them clearcut to make mass-produced, machine made furniture, they get pissed on by drunk male teenagers (And sometimes, amazingly, female as well), and sometimes somebody just doesn't like the way it looks somewhere and just rips it up. Not like they produce oxygen or anything.

But awesome job. This is a double bonus for trees, because not only do they get some appreciation, no tree was killed to make this poem, as it's on the internet!

Awesomeness.
