Dear Lord. I just found this and read every chapter! I love Asotegi and the way he loves Cale so deeply and treats him so well and how the first thing he thought of when he woke up was if Cale was alright! I really hope Cale falls in love soon!

This is so tragic, I don't know what to say. The families of those who were lost, and that Calentine has to stay behind.. It's all very touching.
This is a very eloquent chapter, and I greatly enjoy the writing. I look forward to reading more.

:( The guilt must be horrible.. but the real tragedy are the lives that were lost for no real reason- they're not willing to kill one another, but humans are fine? It's touching that Asotegi does care, but is it because Calentine is distraught or because he genuinely regrets the loss of lives?

Ahhh, such a beautiful ending to the chapter! I really am excited to see Calentine take charge and gain more respect. I was so sure when the ships began to burn that we would see the general's new ability, but either I didnt look hard enough or it didnt show itself. And then suddenly Calentine couldnt leave the tent! I'm not sure what to make of it all, but I am excited non the less!

dont worry calentine, i cried too. wow, this was a sad chapter, in so many ways. its sad it takes 5 ships being set on fire for them to show calentine to show his feelings for the general. i cant wait until the slashyness sets in. im really looking forward to the next chapter. :)

Great chapter! Lots of things happening and a whole bunch of angst. I enjoyed it immensely, though I thought we'd finally figure out what magic the bond brings. lol Bravo!

I really liked this chapter. It’s interesting to be introduced to minor characters and to learn more about this world you’ve created. Not concentrating solely on the relationship between the main characters is what makes a story alive in my opinion.
I enjoy reading your story. It’s always nice to find a new chapter online. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Wow! That's actually a really scary cliffhanger.
I feel like these chapters are so long but without much content. That's why it's taken me so long to read and review these latest ones. Like, did we really have to see every boat before getting to Emelia's? I feel like you linger on inessential things.
I would leave a longer/profounder response here, but my brain is kind of coagulated at the moment.

it's great to see cale's inner monologue, especially when he thinks about the general. i love the coloring of the women talking about him. great job.
