Sometimes in life there is no such thing as to make things in the past different. There is only to build a better future from the knowledge we're left with from them. You capture beautifully the feeling of an empty glass, a full stomach, and gaba-a receptor agonism (I've always found it interesting how close the words agonism and agonize are, to one another, when pronounced in English.)
Your title is interested. It invokes the old "half empty/half full" paradigm. Sometimes the glass is simply empty. Sometimes tomorrow is a string of the sorts of sorrows we need to bring about something better.
Your use of language here is absolutely phenomenal. The words "slither, coursing, and veins" all go together in the sick, sad way that one finds oneself awake at 5 A.M. wondering about, hoping for a better tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow. Great piece, as always. Again, keep writing! I look forward to reading more from you.

Thank God for "do-overs!" Great insight into "momentary blisses," Miss Shauni! Been there myself too many times to count. You are so brave and honest in your writings, and so wise for your years. Those are essential traits to meaningful writing. You go, girl!

I was tempted not to tell you my thoughts because I would love to meet a real Pikachu, but lucky for you I thought about what an angry pikachu could do to me. :)
I like how it starts off where they're depressed and sad and stuff then at the end they brake free of it.
Really well done.
