Holy shitballs this story hooked me in. It's so good. Wow. I'm not going to harp on you about updates. I'll take what I can get. I'm just happy I got to read what you've written here. The characters are lively and highly believable. The moments of Ian drama are blissful for an angst/drama whore like me, but they are so artfully mixed in with the buoyant ridiculousness of high school social life. Ugh. You do it so well. Absolutely in love with everything you've done here. I'm supposed to get up at 5am but I stayed up to read the whole thing because I couldn't stop. Good luck to me tomorrow at work.

I'm so happy to see a new chapter!
I hope Ian eventually tells Charles just how bad his stepdad really is. Of course, I understand why he wouldn't say anything. I at least hope that Ian doesn't go back home next chapter... I am sure by now Charles is much more suspicious after the way Ian was acting.

I just read your entire story, and I knew I would be disappointed once I got to the last available chapter! I love Ian and Charles and how their relationship is developing. Don't care too much for Michael and Jacob (mostly Michael), but Ethan is great and I hope Harper gives him a chance. I can't help but feel that the shooting range might be foreshadowing something.
I really hope you do continue! It has been quite a while, but it would be great to see what you have planned for these characters!

Update. I love Ian Brookes and his shyness. Isn't it obvious that almost every reader loves him? And obviously, it isn't because of his home life. Well, partially. His personality has made me chuckle.
Update, ThisIsAwkward. News flash, you are a great great great writer. Update. Just don't abandon it. Give a date. Even if it is a year.

Thank you so much for this (: I kinda just stumbled upon this the other day, and I'm glad I did. I'm so loving this :)
You have the characters feeling so lively I can visibly see them go about their business, and at times -especially in the beginning - reading about Ian's awkwardness made me feel I was reading about my brother (just that he isn't gay, afaik) :D
And Harper, she's so relatable, not that I had a past as gruesome as hers but whenever the world did keep messing me up I started acting out and pushing everybody away, but I'm hoping she'll get better, and maybe gives Ethan a chance, or something (; and I so do hope Ian's stepfather won't find about him and Charles, they do deserve a chance of happy.. however, on the note of pairings, I'm sorta starting to hope he'll end up with Jacob instead in the end ;)

I love this story and am so glad it continues. I had to re-read it from the beginning to remember who is who and what has happened. It was actually just as good the second time, as the first. All of the characters really stand out. And the humor that underlies almost everything is perfect because it prevents the overall tone and feeling of the story from devolving into a maudlin cesspool. You're such a talented writer, especially the snappy dialogue. Thank you for continuing to work on this story, I can't wait to find out what will happen next! Mike
