Ahmagawd. I loved Gum Wrapper Confessionals, but this is just-I'm a little 'shamed here, 'cause I thought it would end with Henry proposing or some other kinda shit (I troll FictionPress solely for romance) but that ending...*sighs* Just as good, possibly even better, with the...REALNESS (ugh, I'm cringing at my own word choice) of it.

Ooh the first one was cute. This one is heart breaking. Totally on Henry's side here! Find it a bit odd that everyone calls him henry bishop and never just henry, that would be weird in real life, at least where i'm from.

Hi, I've just read this and the prequel and I'm not sure how to express what I'm feeling, so I'll just go with "wow"... I wasn't expecting that..at all. I kept thinking that the ending would be just as predictable as most chicklits, but this is so amazingly different... I really thought that there'd be a forced, romantic, happily ever after ending, with Henry surprising her with whatever and professing his love, and she'd realise that she's still very much in love with him..And I'm just amazed that you ended it - at least for the moment - in such a realistic way..It's terribly bittersweet and very relatable, and it's just..wow..

Even if the happily-ever-after ending is something that most of us would rather read, most of the time it's frustrating and forced because it's so unrealistic..So I'm glad I read this really well-written story, cause it makes me realise that it's ok not to get a happily-ever-after...stories do not really end on that note; they're always on-going, endings followed by new beginnings, renewal and all that..if that makes sense.

Anyway, just wanted to say, I'm looking forward to reading more about Jude and Henry, and it's refreshing now to be able to predict how it will go..and yeah, I hope you're not discouraged by the low review count, I'd say it's because this is so far from the regular, cliches and chicklits..

I wrote a pretty long review in Gum Wrapper Confessionals but when I looked for it, I couldn't find it. And now I'm just sad about that. That story and this (especially Gum Wrapper Confessionals) deserve more reviews. There is something very touching about these two stories. They're not the typical chick flick story with the too plucky heroine and the perfect-not-so-perfect-guy. But Jude Foley has this great voice as a character. Also, the scenarios feel right. Not contrived in anyway to bring about romantic tension. So the story comes across as very real and honest. I think that's what makes these two stories touching.

I wish you all the best in your future stories.
