Hahahahahahahaha, my dad makes really good puns. Like, it's so hard for puns to be funny, but my dad... My dad is hilarious. And I really freaking loved this. I love his voice and how you make his brain work. And the author's note made me smile, lol.

No, oh my gosh, no. I don't think you're going to slow or that things are boring at all. It's nice to see Ivan and Emerson (and even little gazelle Nico) interacting in a family setting. Also, damn, Emerson's mom is awesome to cook two kinds of lasagna at once. I can barely even make spaghetti (so go ahead and be proud of yo'self, Ivan, you sly dog.)

Also, I loved the scenes between Nico and Ivan. LOVED THEM. I just...man, I don't even know what to do with myself because it's so clear to me that Ivan and Emerson are meant to be, but also like, DOES NICO WANT EXPERIENCE? LIKE KISSING-TYPE EXPERIENCE? Because now I wouldn't be averse to him and Ivan smooching a little. Just. Just Emerson is my pure little godson and I can't stand the thought of him being despoiled by anyone other than Ivan. Ugh, double standard, I suck balls.

Anyway, I love how I can almost see the eye rolls on Emerson's parents when Ivan says just about anything.

Also, that's it, if I ever need a stand up comic, I'm hiring Emerson's dad/your uncle. CHIPOTLE, WHAT EVEN, SIR? That is the silliest thing but I would still giggle about it. Good clean fun.

Uh...I felt like I had a lot of other things to say, but surely they can all be summed up as this:

Dearest Ivan,
I would like for you to somehow become a real boy and then be my friend. I'm positive all my friends would adore you (because, honestly, darling, who doesn't adore you?) and we could live a happy life as platonic life mates. You with your men/women, me with mine. Also, I will get a pool so that Nico can be our pool boy and I will give Emerson a library like the Beast gives to Belle...then we will all sing and dance together in harmony.
Forever and ever, amen.

Okay, let me start from the beginning. Whenever Ivan announced his plan for Niagara Falls, my heart like, effing burst. I mean it. It was one of those two-sizes-too-big-for-my-chest moments. WHAT AN ADORABLE PERSON YOU ARE, IVAN! LOVIN ON YOUR BESTIE LIKE THAT. I just. I can't even. I can't even. That's the gist of this paragraph.

And the whole exchange where Ivan was yelling in Emerson's ear that it was incredible and then later Emerson repeated him WHILE LOOKING AT HIM LIKE IVAN WAS REALLY THE INCREDIBLE THING ABOUT LIFE. AND IT'S TRUE! IVAN IS INCREDIBLE AND EMERSON IS INCREDIBLE.

but you know who's not? Nico. Listen, kiddo, I know your jig. Do not try to come between my two favorite fictional best friends, son, or I will cut you. I mean, you sound sort of objectively nice and cute and stuff, and maybe you'll make Emerson happy, idek. Point is, you are harshing Ivan's jam. I don't know if that's actually a phrase people say. I feel like I may have mixed metaphors or something, but I just don't care. For the time being, I will keep my heart open to Nico, but as soon as that twerp makes a wrong move, BAM, I'm marching into the fic and booting him out of the vehicle. (only, I'm glad they're going to Chicago, because Chicago is always fun times.)

Okay, loved this chapter!
