You did great! I just love the way you wrote this. When Darren realized he'd killed the only thing he'd loved it was so sad. It reminded me of a scene in a movie I watched. By the way, I think Darren was insane.

Well of course a crazy person is scary, because we all know they're real!
And yes, that was very short. Shhhooorrt.
But it was a bit DIFFERENT from the usual "she's beautiful I'll kill her to preserve her" thing in that the killer realizes what he's taken away is what he wants and can never get back.

Darren strikes me as an insane character. I love that the setting is a school, most crazies wait until they're older to kill people. The narration is very Tarantino meets "Dexter" and I like it. Well done.
