The transformation from start to finish is beautiful, although it breaks my heart. This is a very strong peice.

I know what it feels like- that pahse where you don't really know where the friendship stands, and all you can remember is the time when you were linked at the soul. good one, i liked hpw you brought out the confusion and pain of this stage.

I really liked the tone- nostalgic yet like a real peice of correspondence. And teh strangers thing. Very nice.

Wow. I can say right now I can totally relate to this. Only difference is I'm being semi-forced to hang out with said ex-friend. (If it weren't for my girlfriend, I'd be ignoring her completely.) I used to write letters to people and just hide them under my bed...usually they'd get tossed out while cleaning. .-. Oh...and I understand the high school part too. xD
