ok so i reviewed on this ages ago, saying i'd be back to write another one when i wasn't crying... i never really got around to that. so here i am, to write the review i promised!
i love this story so much. your writing is so elegant, everything flows so well, i just... it's lovely, that's all i can say. and i was here from the very beginning, and i felt like i grew along with these characters. when they cried, i cried, when they laughed, i laughed.
it is so hard to write characters so compelling that a reader actually feels like they are her own best friends, so props to you! it's a bittersweet feeling, to see the end of this story, because i loved it so much. i can't even imagine what you feel about it. i do hope you send it to publishers (and it may be "reject by five publishers so far... but accept by one." AH i was so happy on that line) because i look forward to seeing this in my favorite book store one day.

Reviewing again because I wrote my previous one so late at night and I don't think it did your story any justice.
Even a day later, your story stuck with me.
You've written your characters so well. It was like I could see them and their friendship, and the way they interacted with one another.
The moments between Nolan and Blake were beautiful and heavy.
The scenes where Blake grabs Shea at graduation and Shea openly accepts and When Shea tells her to fly are my favorite.
And reading the second to last chapter, I cried.
You've so easily managed to write about the nuances of friendship and love. And most of all acceptance, one that comes with a certain type of friendship.

i am almost in tears.. and it's taking a lot of self-control on my part not to cry.. this is a beautiful story that you have written.. so exquisite and so intricately woven with nostalgia about a group of friends that found and lost each other one summer.. and eventually made their way into one another's arms once again.. i will always remember and keep this chronicle in my heart for safe-keeping..

I love this chapter. Mary Jane/Mary Lynn Stewart really is an interesting character. The best part I think was either blake seeing the parallel universe where she's friends with Mary or the end.

I will say this isn't your best, but this feels like a transition chapter, and transitions are hard to write. Anyway, I wonder how Shea's case will unfold. While I hope justice is served, I have an inkling that Shea's attacker will be acquitted.
Oh, and my favorite chapter is three-way tie between the first chapter, Monroe's chapter, and Cole's chapter. :)

This chapter was so powerful. You can really feel Blake's emotions. Truthfully, I'm said that Nolan chose Shea. I think that Blake and Cole would be a nice couple, he's always there for her.

This is my favorite story on fictionpress. I check daily for the updates. I really like your writing style-sometimes your prose seems more like poetry. I will say that you should be cautious and making sure your writing doesn't become "purple prose", basically too flowery. Besides that, I think this is an excellent story. I eagerly await the next chapter!
