What a great surprise to get another update. It was worth the wait! Getting to experience some more interaction between Lara and her mother was so perfectly timed. You see how much of a force there is between Fletch and Lara that NO ONE has been blind to it. And in spite of how Lara feels she is very visible to her mom.
It also seems like every time we think we know these characters you scratch further past the surface and reveal just how much deeper the emotions and scars of Fletcher and Lara's past are and how it is very much controlling their present day lives. It was heartbreakingly sweet hearing the conversations from the hospital. (Totally cried... but good cry) :) And I'm looking forward to the conversation coming between Fletcher and Lara, they still need resolution between them and as you have portrayed the rest of this story so beautifully I know it will be another good cry coming!

This chapter is fantastic! I love all three conversations, although Fletch and Big Blue (okay, technically not a conversation, but I'm counting it) was my favorite. I am glad that he is finally seeing all the good things that Lara has managed to do, even if she hasn't been doing them for the right reasons. Also, I kind of loved that he wasn't able to brush off the page Lara wrote on him, even though he should have known enough to do so.
I also thought that the conversation between Lara and her Mom was a great moment, mostly because of the comment her mother makes that it isn't fair for Lara to hold the message against her. I thought you did a really good job of finding a way of the message coming up, altogether. I definitely didn't see it coming when they were talking about Fletch, but it seemed like a natural turn in the conversation. For such an important moment in the plot it was nice that it didn't feel like plot was being shoved down my throat.

Oh boy, what a chapter! I'm so glad Lara has Merry to look out for her...I mean bringing dry shampoo and putting it in your friend's greasy hair - now that's a true sign of friendship. And I'm glad that Lara and her mom were able to talk some things out and have a good cry. Also YES GOOD she was able to hear from yet another person that she needed to stop blaming herself and holding herself to such a high standard! Hopefully she can start taking everyone's advice now, especially after this hospitalization scare!
And man, poor Fletch - he just keeps on taking beatings from Lara (although I get the feeling that Lara doesn't think those things she wrote in Big Blue about Fletch anymore) and trying to reconcile the feelings he has for her and the new things he keeps finding out about her. I hope Saskia is not in too much trouble with the police! :/ Big brother Fletch to the rescue!

Dear God, what has Saskia done now? Also, Lara's mum rocks and I don't think anyone ever knew til now. I feel so bad she was reliving her horrible memories of hospital with Lara's pneumonia but it makes me see a genuinely strong person within the griever. I can't help but wonder what happened to Saskia and I'm so worried about her. Did Lizard boy beat her? Did he get to slip his roofie? Did he and his mates all have a go at her. Tell me you won't leave me in suspense!

Again. Brilliant. At first I wasn't very thrilled about Fletch's P.O.V. but somehow you've twisted it around. It allows a different perspective on the "situation". The story's very very different from any other I've come across. Lara's character is very strong. Inspirational even.
