Wow! I want this to be made into a film, I need to see this happening on a screen... a really big screen!
Fletch is totally adorable from the outside but I can see why him and Lara grind each others gears, in more way than once.
So very dramatic from start to finish with this chapter, I was totally hooked to the point where I missed like 5 buses because I was reading. I loved his ranting to and about cars on his way over to Lara's place, I always feel that the angry rants are tamed in films and books, the characters are always more "oh do move, I've places to be" than a more realistic "move your shit heap of a car out of my way!" but you have Fletch and Lara get angry in a real way which I really enjoy reading.
I'm quite looking forward to seeing how Daz and Merry will react to Lara's stubbornness and Fletch's knight act. I'm also curious as to how Lara will react, is she going to come round to the idea of letting down her guard a little and relinquishing a little control or will she clam up even further after having been seen in such a vulnerable state by Fletch. I feel that despite saving her life there's potential for Lara to get angry and clam up when she's back on her feet.

It is indeed the most climatic of chapters! I was stumbling over the words trying to take them all in in a rush.
The aftermath of this storm promises to be very promising too - with Lara's mom and Daz making key appearances.

how did she get so sick?
big blue, i remember that she wrote a lot of I hate you in her big blue about fletcher, i would say if you would use that, do a bridget jones about it. that fletcher buys her a new big blue but for her "normal" planning life of school and her new job, like an agency of some sort.

This chapter was GOOD. I enjoyed it. But the ending is a cliffhanger! How am I gonna survive. Seriously though, well-written. I am looking forward to the next chapter. Hope you are healthy and well now! Take care!

Every time you update this story, I always have to read the chapter at least twice because it's always so absolutely perfect! God, I'm so glad we're going through all the emotional stuff with these two, I'm just loving it so much. I'm really surprised at how close Fletch was to being done with Lara, but I reckon he'd never have been able to get her out of his system. I'd love to see them both reflect about what life would be without each other though, because as Fletch says, he's spent over a third of his life being obsessed with her, and she with him. I'm pretty sure at this point, Lara knows how she feels about Fletch, but I wonder how long it'll take her to vocalise it. Hopefully soon, considering how close they were to breaking up, if you could call it that! I can sense the end nearing and I'll be sad when Fletch and Lara's story is over, I'm gonna miss them! Love love loved this chapter, like always. Hope the next one will be up soon!

I just feel so sorry for Lara - not just her being sick but her insecurities about herself and her only feeling good about herself when she does her "deeds" (although I can see why that was a punch in the gut to Fletch) - and I just hope that 1) she'll be physically okay soon enough and 2) she can realize that Fletch can make her feel good about herself too/she doesn't have to prove herself to anyone. But I'm sure that since you specialize in happy endings that everything will work itself out eventually. All in all, an amazingly written, intense, turning-point of a chapter! :D

HOLY CRAP WHY WHY WHY WHY PLEASE NO
Panicking aside, welcome back! We definitely missed you these past few weeks, and when I received an update alert in my email (yes, I am an actual user on FP but I'm waaaay too lazy to log in), I nearly peed in my pants in excitement. Yes, TMI, but whatever. Now we DEFINITELY know how Fletch feels about her (the girl he liked? LIKED? TELL ME THAT DID NOT MAKE YOU SQUEAL), and the fact that Lara admitted that her deeds were all she had to make her feel any good hit home so hard. I feel like shaking Lara by the shoulders, saying "DUUUUDE, MATE, LASSIE, YOU HAVE FLETCH RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, DAMN IT!"
So yeah. I'm quite apprehensive to how the next chapter will turn out, what with Lara being in the hospital and all, but just like Fletch, I'll just have to believe that she's in good hands. Looking forward to the next chapter. Cheers! :)
