I liked this a lot. There is no justice in this life, so why continue to try. The rope that calls like a mocking bird is so tempting but yet one knows to do this would have repercussions... but still having a strong longing for it.

This: "Sometimes there is an all alluring call that can be heard. It isn't to say others hear it, but it is there and ever enticing." was what caught my attention, for it is something that I see - what I saw that you did not.
Justice is an artifice of mankind, nothing more. When humanity disappears, justice does, too.
You see it in the animal kingdom all the time. Who is to say we are much better? Or anything more?
It is up to the person to do that - elevate themselves.
Some have difficulty doing that. "More and more," I am told. But by examining the per captia statistics, other truths can unfold.
