As per your instruction, Mae-sensei (yup, I'm hereby dubbing you sensei because you're awesome), I've went ahead and gave this a read first before continuing with Chapter 18 of EW! And I must say, this is just. . . wonderful. Beautiful. Short, but straight to the point. It's sending tinglys down my spine.

To be honest, I'd love to be an inukonjou. Even a half-blood would be wonderful! I'd want to be a wind type, so I can (hopefully) get wings! And in that sense, I'd just love to live in this world you've wonderfully created, Mae-sensei! I definitely would! ouo

And the pups really make adorable additions to the story. But, yeah, they're what it's all about, right?

The use of solemn, strong images, is really a powerful tool you have in your hands. Congrats. And you did it without ruining the story's flowing prose. So far, this really fits the premise of a short story.

Yes, I like the way your writing conveys the atmosphere of the story. Tense and full of emotion. It's like I can really imagine what it feels like to be in the tavern, in Arashi's mind and feelings. I'll delve into this some more, I guess.

Picturing Arashi with those sleeping pups is adorable. Interesting that Mamoru is one of the pups names. I'm pretty sure it's /that/ Mamoru. When I read the other pups' names I went, 'yes, it's got to be them'.
"I did the pig tails myself." Lol Hiroshi, you are so cute and I chuckled. Great information that defined the water types as well.

I like the information provided about the pups and their features. It gives me a good visual of what they are like when they are born. I also had a feeling that the mother would be dead. I actually thought that was the original reason why the pup was barking. Arashi with the pups is both cute and humorous.

Arashi is interesting. I like his sense of equality and justice for the half bloods. I see that the mention of Miroku's name and the situation with the half-bloods among the humans and pure bloods is similar to Inuyasha and I see your inspiration there. Arashi's sense of compassion and justice must be what's compelling him to pursue the woman.
