Thanks for sharing! I thought each and every single one of them was interesting. I figure'd I'd give my thoughts on them one by one as it would get complicated trying to review it as a whole.
Breathless was a nice little "What the...?" piece, it made me laugh. You had me going thinking she was on the fence about trying things out with her friend, who I assumed without a single doubt, was a guy, which by itself is reasonable enough for her confusion. Then, it turns out there's one single overlooked detail that made the situation much more complicated than it already was.
Strawberry Jam gave me a lot of questions. The more obvious ones were "why did she kill her husband? Did it have something to do with her daughter? Maybe she found out he was having an affair?" The biggest question for me though, and the one I wanted to know the most, was how you thought up all of that from the prompt "Strawberry Jam."
The man from Lumber was just asking for a hard interrogation from whoever would be in charge of the case once the body is reported and would possibly be wrongfully accused.
Wayward had me hoping it is the beginning of a supernatural plot where the man would be given a chance to take the little girl's place. But then that would leave the girl in so much trouble illegally driving a stolen car and running over the owner.
I honestly don't know what to say about Dust and Partial, except that I thought the latter was the sequel for Lumber at the beginning.
I thought Magnate would have been an interesting start of a story between the speaker and Alex where she helps him get back up. Though it seems like Alex killed himself over the incident.
I really liked anticipation. I'd like to think that the letter alone gave the recipient the will to survive and that of course the two end up together trading their V cards to each other.
My word of the day today is... Twonkers!
I'd like to think Heap was the start of a story where the guy meets a girl and in the end finds out she purchased/somehow got his old car and restored it. Like each time they made steps in their relationship, the girl would also make a significant step in restoring the car.
...Tiger uppercut.
Logic was the only one that sounded like an ending to me out of all the pieces. It has to be a fantasy of course, like maybe she was from another world where she has to travel through fire.
Thanks again for sharing these pieces, I enjoyed reading them and they were all very well written.
