there aren't enough stories about writing qua writing. i for one found this personally hilarious and quite true to form. i can personally attest to that feeling of pride that inexorably turns to horror years later. there are works of mine i still can't open for fear of what's in them. as a piece, i think this was well constructed and had a nice mellow tone that kept the reader as (a)mused as you as we bandied along with your thoughts. i thought it was cool that you didn't heavy hand anything and just allowed us to take the events presented and think about them just as you asked us to.
in terms of cc i really have more of a question. i don't understand the significance of this line here:
"Humans are such capricious things, are they not, fickle little ones that forever change, and those that do not are those that are perhaps the ones most hurt in the end."
as a reader, what i took away from the piece was that we changed whether we liked it or not and that the writing was a reflection (however painful it might be). i felt together with the author. however this line seems a bit like censure and if i happened to be a person who didn't like change or didn't want to (because who wants feelings of horror over pride?) i might feel as if i was suddenly let go? i'm not saying the line is bad, however i would love to learn more about your author process and want lead you to end on this note!
kudos! ty for a lovely read!
