That was a great story. I'm sorry to not have writing reviews on this but I was too caught up with The Pink Triangle ! I'm in love with both of your stories so far, wish it never ended :o! The way you describe life on camps, the way you tell us that there are things who appear dark when it's really a little bright, I liked all of those because indeed, there were some people who worked for the Gestapo and did some good things aside for the jews and others prisonners. I appreciated that you didn't spare us the hard moment and described them, it would have lessen the feelings we felt for the characters. ( by that, I mean that it wouldn't have been as strong as it's truly is.)
By the way, if there are sentences who are a little weird, I'm sorry, my first language isn't english and I'm still learning for now :). And I hope that my review reflect what I think of your story.

OH MY GOD WOW! I seriously loved this! It was so beautiful and heart warming with the right mix of suspense and shock and cute moments between Otto and Arnfried! It was just so amazing! Not only this, but the romance between the two men was so believable, it didn't read like you were forcing them together, it felt like they were destined to be together, and you were merely helping them along. I also liked how historically and geographically accurate this was, and how gracefully you worked a story with such dark subject matter. I liked your risqué chapter, as well, as it gave a vulnerability to the characters that may not have been discovered otherwise. I also really liked the character of Mary. I don't know if you intended for her to be a symbol of Otto's new life, with acceptance even if people don't truly understand, and caring without patronising. I also think that she made Arnfried's character of the later chapters seem more human, and explored his caring nature. Overall, I really enjoyed this story, so thank you for writing it.

Oh my gosh. This wasn't cliffhanger cliffhanger where we end off with Arnie seeing Otto and saying something like, "[Gasp] It's you." Or something equally cheesy, but we're on the edge. Of our seat and this cliff.
Jeez Louise. I can't wait to see how these two get together. And also what will Arnie say about Otto's face? I know this sounds shallow, but it's the small things that make this exciting.
Poor Georg though. Dem heartstrings.

What was that little conversation with the other soldier? "Don't miss it" Mmmmmm. I think I know what is, but I don't want to ruin the surprise ending. I mean those three words are giving me hope right now. No wait, there's also the people who were missing and soldiers who were off kilter. Like people who were realising that they might be the losing party. Heheheh.
Otto and Arny might have a chance and I'm so ecstatic right now. I just hope I'm not reading too much into this. Please.
