This is an interesting chapter where we have a witness for the trial of Nara for murder, but the witness is somehow alive, but different physically. There is surely more going on with what happened to that woman because she had to meet with Sandy against her will or something worse would come.
Not only that, but Sandy creepy thought that something worse would come out of this.

Been a while but lets get back on this dark ride.
We start off with some family magic bonding. These magic users sound a lot more intense then Batman's " Royal Flush gang."
Well, we can at least pull off some card tricks, and...we will see how this helps in the bigger picture later I guess?

This is a fun chapter with a very interesting way to tail someone. The way the card is use really goes between being a trick or actual magic going on. Especially when the card just went to the back and John had no idea if it was him or something else.

Times are tough when you can't trust even angels...unless its like how they are in Supernatural...god damn it Castel.
But anywho, melting faces is normally a indication that things are going rather extremely horribly wrong, but, seeing we are going to getting a course about devils, things look like they are about to get hellish, if the devils are not even the angels real enemy then...this is getting intense.
Well lets see if John Smith can hold up to John Constantine or Doctor Strange cause we might be needing that level of magic for what's to come.
But, good job Cinder, keep up the great work.

An interesting chapter about the aftermath of Miss Vandekut murders and she is on a trial. John did well in the counter interrogation and did everything he could as a witness.
I wonder how the trial will end up. Hope Vandekut pay the price for her crimes.

This is a good way to end this arc, before moving to the next one. There is a bit of world building up into it as Magic seemed to actually exist. One character has her sight returned and the other transformed into a humanoid tiger.
As for John, it seemed there is more mysteries about the man, if he could handle the killer with a shoe only.
