What a wonderful little piece of deep, conscious thought. It's all mangled together, with loose ends that connect in weird ways, sort of like my brain seems to be. I commend you for your honesty and the way you explaining yourself- it helps me make sense of my own longings for things like eternity and creating. Your style is wonderful and interesting and developed and captivating. Love it.
My feelings on Art and purpose and eternity and whatnot: I do feel like we're here for a reason, and maybe we don't have to be, but I'd like to believe we are. I think that our contribution to the world and to others matters and that we matter and that it matters that we matter. Like you, I fear both eternity and the unknown- but maybe that fear compels me to check it out anyway. As for Art, it's a wonderful, free, flowing, expressive, confusing, complicated, simple thing that encapsulates all things, all people, all places. Thank you for this little bite of Art.

You seem to digress from the topic of Art to the topic of religion. Though I certainly agree with what's stated in regards to it, the blurb detracts from the main point- if one exists. Many others seem disjunct.
It does seem a bit pretentious to hold the Artist and His/Her Art in the level of the Divine (capitalization is fun), but I will not disagree with your point of view. Artists seek to transmute Their ideas onto a medium for the plebeian masses to grovel and interpret. It is a culmination of Their ideas, of the images and words and worlds created internally. But to say other professions do not involve the same level of creation?
I identify with Art as a conveyance of emotions and ideas, with entertainment and pleasure as a lower priority. It also serves as an escape from the brutality of reality and an immersion into another world. Sometimes, I get so caught up in the stories of others- regardless of medium- that I become aloof from this world and entranced in another. It's why I became interested in fantasy. Perhaps this is what you meant by "ignorance is bliss"? Maybe not. Regardless, it's probably why I'm inclined toward experimental structures of writing, to represent the sides of life untold or less represented.
I'm almost curious to see why you try to make sense of the world through Art. Or how you do so in the first place. Why does the world need to be understood? Isn't it enough that the universal system is embedded within logic? Why is there such a need to know and understand every facet of life? Some questions may not even be answerable. Some are best unanswered.
Now I feel like I'm becoming disjunct and I do not feel as though I've answered a question or responded to one particular idea. Nonetheless, it's a response. This was interesting to read in terms of the opinions brought to light. Perhaps it wouldn't surprise you I'm not artistically inclined?
