This is really beautiful.
You probably didn't mean it, but this reminded me of Fate/Stay Night, an anime I used to watch. Anyway, this is wonderful.

Wow. What an epitaph. Your prose has so much voice and heart behind it, it's stunningly clear and wonderful. I can almost see the face of the master, looking upon the face of his saber.
So keep it up. And may the saber rest in peace. As well as the master.
