Um you should not forget capitalization, you should also read the chapter again and again so you may find mistakes that still needs to be fixed. The story is still good, you did your best.

I think It's really good, but you switch tenses in places - Check on that. :)
Another thing is the plot- metor showers, kid living in a small town who is an alien- is very similar to Superman/Smallville (T.V program if you haven't heard of it)
altogether it's a brilliant piece of writing

Well this kinda reminds me of superman because of strenght from the moon and weakness from a rock.
