Wow! I'm always having to remind myself that the number of "Favorites" or "Reviews" or "Follows" of a given story on FictionPress does not mean anything. If these numbers had any relevance with regard to the quality of a story, the numbers for this one ought to be 100x higher. I've read literally thousands of gay-themed stories on this site and many others. Most of them, quite frankly, suck. "Angelo and Julian" is brilliant! I couldn't stop reading. I hate the way it ends, but I see that there is at least part of a sequel, so maybe there's hope for these boys yet. I also kind of hate Julian for being such a fucking prick, but it sure made for some great drama. Also, it's so refreshing to read a story where the protagonists aren't white emo kids. (Not that I have anything against white emo kids - I used to be one myself!) This story reminded me a little bit of a fantastic story called "Around My Way" by Madason Aysha. If you search on Google for " 'Around My Way' Superdrewby" you can find this story. But I should warn you - it's incomplete. Despite this, it is an amazing and unique work that is well worth reading.
My only complaint about "Angelo and Julian" (aside from the constant urge to slap Julian for being so clueless and refusing to admit that what he really wants is Angelo's cock up his ass) is that I don't know if it was necessary to make Julian a teenage boss of an underworld gambling empire. Or whatever he's supposed to be. Aside from this one aspect, the entire story is amazingly realistic. Another thing that bugged me - and honestly, it's possible I could have misread this - but I thought it was stated a couple of times that Angelo never wears underwear. So why was he wearing black boxers when he got stabbed and Julian helped remove his jeans to clean the wound! Again, it's totally possible that I misunderstood something, and somehow got fixated on the idea that Angelo was always freeballing it. Could be wishful thinking lol... anyhow these things are ridiculously unimportant and in no way do they detract from the story as a whole, which is excellent. You are such a talented writer. You have an amazing ear for dialogue. The spelling and grammar mistakes are irrelevant. Anyone can fix spelling and grammar mistakes. Almost no one can write a story of the caliber of "Angelo and Julian". Thank you so much for writing this, and for sharing it with the world. I don't know if I want to start reading the sequel, knowing it isn't finished and may never be. I doubt I'll be able to restrain myself from doing it anyway.
Thanks again and please keep writing. Talent like yours is rare and important. Use it!
Sincerely, Mike

Ugh! No I just can't. I hate how these characters talk. "I feel you" "I hear you" "Who's bringing the juice". I mean, really? They sound like retarded fraternity guys. I can't get past it, it's too bad it sounded interesting.

This was sooooooooooo good. It was so refreshing reading about characters who talk like me, look like me, etc. It's so hard to find that on here, especially with slash fiction! I loved this so much. Thank you.

O_O I literally just read this all in like... 6 hours. I neglected eating, I put off showering, I didn't even realize I had to use the bathroom until after I read the "Bye" at the end.
Such a tearjerker :'( Now, if you excuse me... I gotta pee...

You, my dear, are perfection. This story is perfection. And the characterization was so well done and in depth that I am metaphorically swooning right now. Angelo and Julian have weaseled their ways into my heart with their personalities, interactions, back stories, and realness. Literally throughout this whole story I felt like I KNEW them both. They were so much more than characters on a page; they were almost tangible!
This story was so realistic that it was beautiful. I feel like I know these boys. And I love the fact that they're Hispanic and the use of Spanish in this (I'm glad I've taken so many years of Spanish in school) is perfecto, darling. They are men of color, and I love it! Hispanic culture is just amazing and I love how well it's incorporated in the story, not just mentioned once and then left alone for the duration. I used to date a Spanish speaking dude (he was from Spain) and ever since I have loved the language. Also, from my neck of the woods, guys and girls are just like the ones in the story, though it's more of a gaggle of loud Italians. It's kind of refreshing how you use modern lingo and setting and I'm pretty sure we can all relate to how up to date everything in this story is. One of my favorite scenes is when Angelo goes to one of Julian's classes and takes pictures and stuff. I can imagine my friends and I doing that and it just has a pleasant warmth spreading from my stomach throughout my whole body and I love it. You really write what you know, and it's amazing. Us writers use experiences, no?
Anyway I'm totally waiting for the sequel so we can see this relationship develop or deteriorate (whichever one your gorgeous mind has in store). I am struck with both admiration and jealousy in terms of your writing skills. You're kind of like my Julian ;) and yes I'm probably lame for saying that but I don't really care.
Thank you so much for writing this, and I can't wait for the next one. Good luck!

Must say worse place to end! You're killing me... This is the story I have recommend to all my bi-curious buddy's (We'll the 2 of them.) It's suspenseful, beautify written, and real. Everytime you updated, I turned into a child again. Soulfully waiting for the next chapter. Can't wait for the next to come, because I'll wait however long you need. Nothing really to critic, its perfect.

I liked your portrayal of your characters, a verry different viewpoint from the norm. I liked it very needs some going over and picture and lineage monitoring but otherwise great development.

Omg I can't with these two especially Julian! I love your writing style and this is so realistic that's it's scary. I can't wait for Book 2 of these two because I got to know if they finally down the road get together and what goes it mean by Julian paying for his tuition as well as his hospital bills. So many 1 jesting that I can't wait for you to answer.

This story has been a pleasant journey from beginning until then end. It has been a pleasure to see Angelo and Julian grow as individuals and closer together. I am glad you stuck to your guns and didn't force them together. I hope the next installment is as equally exciting! I can't wait for more.
Send inspiration and good writing vibes,

I'm not sure if I've commented before.
I admit to skipping some of the story when I first started reading, and now that I'm hooked I shall go back and read the chapters I felt were dragging a bit.
Their relationship is so amazing and complex, I'm hooked.
Hiatus; boooo. There's already enough suspense as it is!
Really looking forward to what happens next, julian needs to take some accountability for his actions! He can't keep walking out. and battering an injured man, not cool.
cant wait for the update :)
