So, I'm finishing LWTF. Well I'm about two thirds in. And it's incredibly dark and I'm starting to worry, I dont think I can handle if a Flo doesn't get to live. I mean, the book is called Living with the fall, you wouldn't, would you?
OK I don't wanna post any spoilers, so, just. You know. I'm worried.

It's extraordinary how our brains work sometimes. It was exactly a year ago I started reading this story. And now, I suddenly remembered the name Kanichen and wanted to reread it. Alas, I see that I have come too late. I really enjoyed your story and am saddened to hear that it is been rewritten and there will be no next installment. I don't think I will be reading the reworked version since I liked the slash version so much. Every now and then I come across a story like this one, that I wish authors would never take down so I can come back and reread it, and discover all over again the reason why it resonated with me in the first place. I wish you good luck for the future, and hope you would reconsider keeping Hulme and Flo's relationship as I believe that is what gave both of the characters their humanity. Nevertheless, thank you for passing on a story that will remain in my memories for me to revisit for years to come.

After exactly a year since finishing this story, I suddenly remembered Flo's awe, love, and fear of Kanichen (did I spell that right?), and wanted to read the story again. Unfortunately it seems as though I am too late for that now. I am also saddened to hear that the next installment will not come to be. But that is alright as my memory of this story's end gives me a nostalgic warm shiver, which is enough to satisfy me. I deeply enjoyed reading this work as a slash story since Hulme's transition from a hunter willing to dispose of Flo, to someone who will do anything for him was what made the story come together as a whole. Nevertheless, thank you for passing on a story that will stay in my memories for years to come.

Oh no! I loved this story. One of the few I consider to be an excellent read. I kept checking on your profile for Part 2, so I'm really really sorry to hear that there will not be a continuation of the story as I read it.
I'm sure the story wouldn't suffer any if you deleted the romantic aspect, but I liked too much how you were building their relationship. I'll miss Hulme and Flo as a couple. ;) will you at least write some other m/m, please?

Ive been waiting patiently for the last chapter, a) to wrap up the loose ends and b) to give this amazing couple a nice happy end, but thought I'd log in to bug you.

So is the new version a female or just no romance at all? Because in a way there really was hardly any in this story anyway.
Anyway I'm definitely disappointed but if this increases you're chance of publishing it I totally get it, and I'm really happy for you that I Hate Summer will be published.

This was perfect! If Flo didn't go with Hulme, I would have been very angry. But, alas all worked out for now. It was definitely a surprise when Hulme was revealed to be infected but cured. It does make sense how he was able to withstand his time in the rig.

Wow, that was quite a ride :) I really liked the unconventionality in this story. Love story with a zombie? :D Actually after their fight I already was suspecting something about Hulme's nature (am I learning to read hints?!), but the way it was explained and it happened was in itself surprising (also him not being aware of it!). I liked being able to "hear" his voice in the past couple of chapters, I guess it made me feel like Flo was being too unreasonable with his mistrust. It also felt a little forced both how he started talking (even though it was dramatic in a good way and relieving at the same time) and also later how he gave up after being very assertive about his negative up to the point. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
In any case, the whole story was wonderful and I am really happy you wrote it and I got to read it and I am really looking forward to reading anything else you throw at us :) I hope you also had enjoyment during the process of writing it and until next time!

I think Hulme being infected definitely makes sense, with him being faster than those superhuman-speed zombies and all. I'm so happy Flo managed to come back, was afraid it was gonna end with him gone forever, and that thought just makes me sad for Hulme. They're both pretty tragic.
But yeah, there's still the mystery of Flo, and his hands, and what that purple stuff was all about... though I realize there might never come an answer to those questions. I wonder if the aunt had a chance to make the tests with Flo 'conscious', would the results actually be any different or not. Interesting to think about, and I kind of like that it's open to interpretation.
