Really interesting! I don't think I've read a story that switched the roles in terms of gender equality before. Wondering if Cahira is based on the Arabic name for Cairo (Al-Qahira)? Especially since you used Zafar to mean victory

Wow...I do believe I have fallen in love with your writing.
This was stunning and breathtaking in pretty much every way...the beautiful metaphors and imagery, the uniqueness of the culture... *sighs* Oh, wow.
I do love this.

Great original idea, loved seeing the flip side (as it were) haha. I love this as a one shot but enjoyed the characters so much a series of drabbles would be great too! ;)

It was very interesting to read a story about men's rights rather than women's. I really enjoyed the story! Thanks for posting!

This was absolutely, 100% beautiful. I loved it. You managed to develop Azaria and Zafar's characters so well in little over 6000 words. And your writing style matched the overall tone of the story and everything just worked. Great job! :)

Hi there!
I really enjoyed this story. I loved how you created your own world and traditions in this one shot - not to mention the reversed gender equality battle! it was very refreshing.
I just have two small suggestions haha :P
At the beginning of the story you mention how the extravagant throne is a reflection of the royal family in brackets. I don't think this is needed, you've already shown us how rich the royal family is by describing the throne, there is no need to tell us :)
Also, you mention that the crown is elephantine figuratively and metaphorically. Those two terms mean very similar things. I think maybe you were looking for literally?
Other than that, this story is fantastic and very original! Great work :D

This was actually bloody amazing. I love that you totally flipped society on its head, from patriarchal to matriarchal and mirrored todays problems, like voting rights and pay

Azaria is fabulous. I love how strong a character she is, so fiercely independent and strong and tough and utterly fabulous.

Zafar too is fabulous. I love the effect he had on Azaria, he stood up to her while respecting her, he had a backbone and I love how he softened Azaria, how he showed her that society doesnt have to be matriarchal or patriarchal, but equal. He brought out a tender side to Azaria and I really loved it.

Fabulous, fabulous job, as always!

It's really well written, and I like the idea of a gender role reversal.

It was awesome! I liked the switched reality...a female dominated society...and how that too in the end inevitably becomes one of equality
Azaria n zafar are great, and you did actually write a sex scene by the way, and it was hot without being vulgar..
Please update tug of war soon...
Always,

Hey! WOOOOW! OH MY GOD! I loved it :) Azaria and Zafar! I LOVE how Azaria is a badass Empress, and how she slapped them when they first met! Ha-ha! Whoo! Goodness gracious me. ;)
