This is such a lush piece.
I loved all of the detail about connections. I got the feeling that this was about siblings (twins even - the verse about elbows and hips made me think of twins in the womb together) and what it is to be "together/as one" and then grow up and still be connected, yet not have that same feeling of wholeness. Beyond the sibling connection I also got a since that this was about the connection of family (parents with their children). The environment shows a stifling world (cutting hair in the bathtub, and the elbows and hips verse again) all showing more than one person in a confined tight space. Really wonderful piece overall. It was elegant in all of the best ways.
