It took me entirely too long to remember my old account password. I know this has been published years ago and you probably don’t even look at it anymore, but I had to review again. This story, these characters, this world, has been living in my head rent free since I was 11, and I’m 22 now. I mean it genuinely when I say this story has been an inspiration and true motivator in my own writing.
I started my FFN and Fictionpress accounts when I was 11 (or something I can’t remember) and I remember really wishing to be an author and posting absolutely horrible writings, only an 11 year old would think was good. Sometimes, as the years went on and I forgot about this site, I was convinced this story was some fever dream my mind created, desperately wishing for a story told as wonderfully as this one. Somehow, I rediscovered this site and went trolling through its archives and was delighted to see that the story was still up, still existing, in its perfect little world.
I don’t know what I’m saying, I’m rambling, I’m sure, but I just wanted to say: thank you. Words cannot express how much I adore this concept, the characters, the world! I just wanted to finally tell you that, even though this was published years ago, your writing still persists in people’s minds, and serves as a catalyst to encourage their own writing and imagination. Hopefully I can see this concept on the shelves of a bookstore. I would love that.
Thank you again and I wish you happiness and luck and everything good in your career as a writer! I hope to one day discover your stories at bookstores.

I have been following this book for nearly 3 years now and I keep checking for updates. And if I have to beg you to publish this, I will. Because I want this as a book in my life. I want to discuss it with other people and splurge on all nightmare themed merchandise. I want to gift the book to other people and make then read it so that I have more people in my life who love it as much as I do. For the love of God, please please publish this.

I did not mean to read all 23 of these chapters in one go. Especially since I started today (technically yesterday) on chapter 11 of Once Upon a Nightmare...
Gosh, though, this story is wonderful. I've been keeping tabs on TNK since it started, but somehow I missed the last three or four chapters being published. I'm currently very vexed with myself for doing so. (But not at the same time, because it means getting to read them for the first time now!)
Please, for the love of all things gothic and lovable and nightmarish, if you ever do paper publish these, give us a heads up. I need a hard copy.
I really love your character development, in case you're interested in a slightly more critical response, watching Alexander evolve over the span of these two stories. Not to mention the relationships between Violet/Alexander and Violet/Armand. I admit there were times I was rooting for the later. Especially when you started digging in with Armand's back story. Other than that I loved, oh, y'know... everything.

What was up with that Hans Solo response, Alexander? ;) haha jk I loved this.
It's hard to give you a serious comment when this ending just has me beyond giddy. It truly left me with that feeling of their story moving forward, while still giving *this* story the perfect resolution. I also love what you did with making Alexander human (well, mostly). I've also been really uncomfortable with the way women are owned and changed in paranormal stories, and this did a great job of flipping that trope. These two are true partners, and I love that.

This chapter was... unsurprisingly shattering, but also like a word:
FINALLY!
Don't get me wrong, I've been reading along, just failing at hopping on to comment on your progress, so now I'm trekking back to catch up.
And this chapter... just... gah! To finally read an open conversation between these two about their doomed, fated, brilliant love was just... FINALLY!
And then for Violet to whip out her classic genius. This duo's collaboration is just A-plus.
Literally there are just so many moments in this chapter that I wanted to quote, circle, hold, squeeze, dreammm that I could hardly contain myself.

I feel like I've been coming back to this story forever, but I only found it last fall. I also feel like I've explained the concept of this story to everyone I know. So many instances have occurred where this story paralleled something in my life (e.g. Violet and Alexander's bond, wanting to create something from nothing). Reading this also led me to looking up the author, and reading her blog. She is so insightful and inspiring, and I look forward to reading her published work one day; as I am sure that day will come. This story has been so rich and so unexpectedly captivating, and it has carved its own place into my heart. Thank you for all of it.

There has to be a way for Alexander to become a nightmare again! There has to! This is killing me! Oh my god! It's so bittersweet! Okay. It's like 1:52 in the morning. I really hope Alexander becomes nightmare again. WE ARE THE A-L, E-X, A-N-D, E-R, WE ARE MEANT TO BE! Sorry, Alexander Hamilton obsession. I was just getting over it when I stumbled upon wonderful Alexander Ira here. G'night! Sorry if this review makes no sense, its late... or early. Bye! I remember when I first found the previous draft of Once Upon a Nightmare on Fictionpress, and wouldn't shut up about it to any of my friends. And whenever the newer draft and sequel was posted they again had to hear me go on and on. I have been in love with this story and its characters since the beginning and I'm really happy with how it all turned out. The idea of the strange gap between the human and supernatural love interest has always bothered me in how it was handled in most books, and it was really cool to see it differently here. Especially Alex realizing what he was going to sacrifice and actually looking at the options to decide that what he wanted was to be with Violet. I'm ridiculously rambling but thank you for the wonderful stories. It always made my day to get online and see a new chapter alert in my inbox :)

This was perfect? Like seriously. 10/10. By far this is ooan are among my top favs ever. I know years from now Ill still find myself thinking of Violet when I go into a small bookshop and nightmares arent so awful to wake up from when I can pretend I know the Nightmare causing it.
