Hmm. It's interesting how Maric is slowly growing from being not-a-horrible-person to someone who had to reevaluate his relationship with his slave because his slave wasn't what he thought to someone who actually sees (some) slaves as people. Great chapter!

urghh.. lord nolen need a wake up call. how dare he even think that hurting someone that belonged to a prince is a good idea?! even if dara was not a healer, hes still maric's and maric is the freakin prince! urghhhh!
on another note: im kinda hoping that bug will be with baryan(im not good with names), just so he can fet some loving for his own xD and the petite and small slave, or maybe ex-slave with the bulky huge high rank soldier is always fun. xD

Awww I love this story! I love Dara as a character, although it is a little inconvenient that he is also so hurt by death, but at the same time, he saved the prince's life! I can't believe he was gonna be a healer! That's awesome, but how did he lose his powers? And is a healer still a slave, or did Dara have some other position he was supposed to be in? I can't wait to see what happens when Maric wakes up, it is sure to be dramatic :) And I love how Maric is so into Dara, I just hope that he doesn't push things, or get drunk and make a mistake or something. I can't wait to see their relationship build more and to find out more about Dara's past! Great story, fantastic writing, update soon!

To be fair, it does seem like healers would make the best bed slaves. If you ever get into any troublesome situations with, uh, bed related activities, I imagine healers would come in handy.
I just started reading this story and it's really interesting. I really just want Dara to get a ton of hugs and Maric satisfies that desire for me so well. It's vicarious hugging!

happy birthday and the story is cute, and the experienced maric being the more responsive one was..ohhhhhh. and yeaa i love it when the slave contributed something (like in your other story) and being more than just a pretty face (though being helpful in bed is also a very good thing)

Awwww adorable! Although I am dying of curiosity, what was Dara destined for? I love his thoughts, although his lack of confidence and vulnerability are sad :( That prince better take care of him! I can't wait to watch this relationship develop, hopefully Dara will talk more once he is more comfortable or once his secret is revealed. . . great writing, super excited for the next update!

I love hearing Dara's thoughts. He is so sad and down on himself. He knows how much he has lost and he knows what he has now wont last. I love how careful the prince is with him. He takes him right away from the whipping when he sees it is not helping

Interesting story. I don't think I've read about a character who feels pain when he deals hurts someone. Does the same work with pleasure? He feels it magnified when he's the cause? It'll be interesting to find out.
