This is absolutely brilliant, a story within a story. Your word choice throughout the whole piece was perfect: I felt as though I was there. Not a word out of place.
The concept of this is also brilliant. Great idea and a fantastic use of language equates to an engaging short story. I've definitely encountered this myself, and it's a bit of a sticky situation to be in! Why are the male literary characters so dreamy?
Another fantastic thing about this is that the readers learned a lot about Alex: it felt as though he was but another character in the web ;) Whereas, for all the purposes of this short story he is all there is, and his story is actually irrelevant. However, your inclusion of details about who he is makes me understand the writers desire for him.
I like how this escalated past a normal crush on a fictional character, and into a new level of unrequited lust. Absolutely brilliant piece! There was so much to be taken in between the lines. I also love the ending that you gave it. What a sad and yearning piece, but so beautiful! Every word feels as if it was placed perfectly. Great work, keep it up!
