This was SO good. Ughhh, I'm not sure what to say, but aaaaaahhh.
It's nothing like I expected it to be and it's so much better than I could have imagined!
Once again, I'm impressed by the originality, and honest feeling in this. You took this difficult premise (and let's be honest, there could have been so many things gone wrong here) and handled it perfectly. I think it was really important to be mature about this scene, so I'm glad you chose to keep the chapter short. This way the scene gets the attention it deserves and readers don't get distracted from how important all of the above is.
Kudos to you, for writing a plot development that was precarious to begin with. It could have so easily gone towards insensitive handling or whatever, but this is so good! It's weird and a liiiittle fucked up situation, and Katie was having relatable and real reactions. Everything in here is just aaah! I think this might be my favourite chapter, simply because you made this so brilliantly real. I've read so many stories with half-assed rape scenes as plot devices and I HATE it. Every single time. And I get it, it's such a difficult thing to write about and get "right". There's so much emotion involved that's just hard to get on paper, and in a way one wouldn't even really want to get it right, it's such a traumatising thing. And then, here you come, with the most surprising and sensitive take on something that could have turned into a form of rape. I admit, I was a tiny bit worried before reading this chapter that it would turn in that direction, and looking back, I'm sorry I ever doubted you're abilities to handle sensitive topics with the utmost care. So yeah, brilliant work. This is still in no way a happy chapter, and I LOVE the last sentence. It's so humane, if you get what I mean? Because even though yes, Katie did decide on going through with it. And yes, it was all very gentle and consentual, but nonetheless, it was her first time being this intimate with a person, and she's a strong person, but she's still human and of course it's a major event in her life! There's is so much emotion connected with having sex, so much pressure put into it, it's so great to see Katie as a true person, very, very believable.
So yes, I like her reaction. It's human. And it's not just a "shrug-your-shoulders-and-be-done-with-it" kind of thing. That last sentence gave me shivers all over, it was so good. Love how your developing your characters, I'm looking forward to Katie's and Nikolai's next encounter. And well, everything really. This has definitely risen to spot number one on my "hoping for an update" list :)

I'm actually really happy with the way this turned out. It's completely different from the way I was expecting which is great. I love this story and I'm hoping for more romantic emotions coming soon!

Thanks for the chapter! Nikolai's wolf was definitely more gentle than what I was expecting. He also seems easier to deal with than Nikolai. It would be pretty funny if Katie told Nikolai, at some point, that she prefers dealing with his wolf over him. Will Nikolai know any of what went on from his wolf's memory or is that a completely separate part of his mind? And when will a romance eventually develop between her and Nikolai? Because from where it stands now it looks like it's gonna be quite a long time if at all. Good chapter and good luck on your finals. :)

Aaaaaaaaah, I just realised I haven't posted a review on this chapter yet, so please know I'm truly sorry for taking this long!
Anywho, this was great! I am SO excited for this story atm, did I mention that? It's kind of weird as there's always a decent amount of time in between updates (I mean no offense, I would never, ever dare to be that rude to anyone on here, that would be plain ungratefulness) so my mind is slightly foggy about where exactly the last chapter left off and such, but you manage to capture my interest in no time chapter by chapter, again and again. I mean this as a compliment, btw! I think it's much harder for authors on platforms like this to keep their reader's interest by supplying every chapter on its own. An already finished book only needs to enrapture the reader once, and keep them from getting too bored, but in this case the reader needs to be convinced by every single chapter because the time in between updates kicks the reader out of the individual stories mind set. I hope you get what I'm trying to say, I'm pretty tired and seem to be incapabale of coherrent thought. I'll head to bed now. Stupid election night keeping me up to late, ugh.
