I personally really appreciated everything about this story. Society seems pretty keen on turning us into... I don't totally know what to call it. Mindless drones, perhaps? Anyway, really lovely work. I liked the style of narration that you used here, and the way that you addressed the reader made it that much more powerful. Of course, the idea of wanting a 'normal life' tends to sadden me, but in the society you've depicted, sadness wouldn't be 'normal' either, would it? Keep up the beautiful work!
