Wow, OMG, that's so sad! At first I thought the tombstones must be the son's, but then I realized they must be the parents'! It's so tragic the way you painted the picture of them waiting and waiting and then dying before he came home *sob*
This really touched my heart once I figured it out :) and I'm slow, so you're probably lucky I figured jt out at all :P
